Mistle thrush - Turdus viscivorus

Mistle Thrush | Moore Nature Reserve
Canon 800mm f7.1 for 1/500th @ iso400

The "dog field" at Moore Nature Reserve had a few Mistle thrush feeding on it. A bold bird and despite various shapes and sizes of dogs cavorting about the field - continued to feed regardless of the boisterous mutts - chasing balls and each other about.

Get the camera out and that bold demeanour disappears - the mere sight of the camera sent them off chattering over to the fenced off meadow.

Strange hey....

A more recent "visitor" to the Nature Reserve was a Cuckoo the bird was using the trees down by the meadow at the Birchwood Hide to call from.
